Back to School Encouragement
I’m writing this post not to inform but to encourage. Just like the rest of the public school teachers across the nation, we are daily facing uncertainty. We want answers. We want things to stop changing. We want a routine. The known gives us comfort like hot cup of soup on a cold day. Sometimes, though, the uncertain and the changes reveal the broken system. We have many students leaving our public school system and going to private school. Parents are giving up luxury to enroll in private schools. Some parents are choosing to homeschool. Even further sell, some parents are choosing to work together to provide an education for each other’s children, working collaboratively. We have been stripped down to the very minimum…to what is truly important. Is this really a bad thing? Sometimes healing doesn’t feel so good when it is happening. Right now, we are in a healing process. A revealing of what is broken, and a heating if you will of our educational system. The results of this Will be better than what we are going through right now. Just know that it will be better and will get better. Then the “worst school year ever” just might be the “best school year ever”.
